This is currently loaded obsolete smokeless cartridge ammunition for firearms chambered in 401 Herters Power Mag. We use our reformed cases (item #401HERTERS) and a jacketed bullet .401" diameter 180 grain Hollow Point with Cannelure (item #401180). Does anyone here collect old Herter's stuff? A few years back I bought a "grab bag" box of stuff at a small gun show conducted by my local range. In it was an elderly Herter's scale. It has all its parts and still works. It has been sitting on my bench for well over a decade and I doubt I will ever use it. Does anyone here collect old Herter's stuff? Living where we did, mail order was about the only way to get stuff. It has all been used a lot and is still very serviceable. Have two of their "C" presses that are still my favorite. Big heavy things.

The Dunbar Reloading Press in a rather rare beast in the reloading world. It was manufactured in the mid part of the 20th century by the "Dunbar Glass Corporation" of Dunbar West Virginia. At some point there appears to have been created the "Dunbar Tool and Die Company" of Staunton, VA but I have no further information on either company. Vintage Shotgun Shell Reloading Press. Press has no msrkings on it but looks identical to a MEC 600 Jr. Condition is Used Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. I always ream Herters and S&B (both made by the same company) when I get them now. Once reamed and used a time or two they work just as well as the others. I learned MY lesson on a 2500 round run with some 300 of those mixed in. Broke press parts, ended up pulling probably 50, made me think twice about my decision to start reloading.

This press does have the old style shell holder so I am considering getting the adapter sold by Midway and others allowing the use of RCBS holders if I can't find originals. I have been watching e-bay for parts and dies with mixed results and even the search function here turns up little.
